Last April, the Schvimmers spent $282.58 apiece in premiums for insurance policies for their two Papillons, Rocco and Mackey. Since then, they’ve submitted two claims for reimbursement of emergency veterinary care.
After getting a vaccination, Rocco became lethargic and was taken back to the vet. The bill was $125. He pulled through just fine, but the insurance company paid only $18 after the deductible amount. Then, Mackey jumped off the bed and was injured. His vet bill came to $1,058. Mackey’s claim was denied.
