When it comes to dog care and training, it can be a very rewarding experience.  It can take a disobedient dog and make them into a well-mannered and behaved dog that is a joy to be around.  Many times people will get a dog and not have the slightest idea, how to care or train their dog, which in some cases results in giving them away or putting them in a dog pound. There is no such thing as a bad dog; it all starts with the dog owner, having the proper information and either consulting a professional or arming yourself with information, to have the expertise in training your dog properly.

When it comes to training your dog, patience is the first and most important step.  If you don’t have patience, the outcome can result in your dog becoming timid or scared.  Never ever lose your temper. Your dog will need to have your gentle guidance, so that he or she will know what is acceptable. Some dogs are easier to train then others, but all dogs can be trained in time. 

When it comes to dog care and training, being consistent with your the dog will help him to grasp the training much faster.  Giving mixed messages can help to slow the process down for example, if you allow your dog on the furniture sometimes and other times he or she is not allowed, can confuse the dog.  By being consistent in your actions and behaviors, will help the dog to train much quicker.

Giving your dog lots of love and praise will help your dog to be confident in their training.  Dogs love to please, so by giving them praise, by loving pats, hugs, or even a treat, will help your dog to train much quicker.
